County Clerk path

For criminal case records on file, use the official Kleberg County Clerk path. The Clerk lists criminal-record searches at $10, copies at $1 per page, and certification at $5. Those are County Clerk fees, not Sheriff’s Office booking-photo fees. Felony case records belong with the Kleberg County District Clerk.

Writing a focused request

Under Texas Government Code Chapter 552, ask the agency for existing records rather than a new investigation or summary. Identify the custodian, name the person and relevant date, and include the booking number, arresting agency, cause number, or official URL when known. Request electronic delivery, ask for a cost estimate before charges accrue, and ask the agency to state the legal basis for any withholding. Keep the request and response. Questions involving identity, juvenile information, expunction, nondisclosure, or a sealed matter should be directed to counsel or the court.
